I've never used xcalib before, so I don't really know if it can reduce things. Xcalib didn't make any sense to me, as I could only increase green, not decrease it. Xrandr just duplicates what Kgamma does in real time. Try as I might using Kgamma, I could not find a setting for the colours that would give me the correct setup. So I knew the monitor was okay and it is only happening in Linux. It quite happily ran on the existing BenQ driver I already had installed. I booted up in Windows and there was no tint. I took a screenshot, but it did not show the tint. ![]() It has a strong lime green tint, which is affecting both menus and webpages. That caused me a lot of unnecessary steps because I wrongly ruled out the cartridges at first.I had to replace my old BenQ monitor which died, with a BenQ GW2265 LED flat panel. So I printed the original page that I was having problems with (my taxes) and all is working again.Įpilog: Not sure why it took a couple of weeks to exhibit problems after installing the new cartridges. Long story longer, I ran the "Print Nozzle Check Pattern" again and magenta was displayed correctly. Anyway I did not break anything and then installed a new cartridge, which fit properly. I had to use needle nose plyers and some force to remove the cartridge, Note: If you do this and something breaks, please do not blame me. Yet the corresponding light always came again. ![]() The tab that was supposed to lock it in place was stuck in the unlocked position and I could not get it to click in place, no matter how hard I tweaked it. I tried to pull the magenta cartridge out, and it was stuck. This was supposed to mean the cartridge was good and installed correctly. Yet, when I looked at the physical cartridges, the light was on for all the cartridges, including magenta. The color bars on the printout displayed every color except magenta. This can be found under "SETUP" and then "MAINTENANCE". WRONG! Today, I ran the "Print Nozzle Check Pattern" from the from the printer's control panel. It started printing everything with a green tint a couple of weeks after I changed the ink cartridges, so I did not suspect them. ![]() I'd really appreciate some help with this!!! I use it for most of my limited photo "manipulations", including printing.Īnyone has a good idea what the cause for the green tint is? I just don't have the time to install/uninstall different programs, play with settings, etc. I like to use the 2.0 because to me it's more user-friendly. I do still use Microsoft Picture It 2.0, even though I also have the Picture It 10. Of course now I suspect that it might be one of the programs I'm using, that it might be corrupting the settings or something like that. And now my S600, after years of great performance, started to print green also. I got rid of them, and started to use my old Canon S600 for general printing. The newer model of HP Photosmart printer worked great for awhile, started to print green again. When it started to print green tint, I figured a good reason to upgrade. I was using HP Photosmart printer for my photo printing for awhile. Does anyone here familiar with what could be causing all of my printers to print with a greenish tint?
